William C. Tang received his BS, MS, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley in 1980, 1982, and 1990, respectively.
Since his graduation, he continued his contribution to the MEMS field at Fords, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
In 2002, Dr. Tang joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine and has served as the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Education and Interim Chair
in the Biomedical Engineering Department, as well as the first Associate Dean of the Henry Samueli School of Engineering.
